CAC Games High Jump champion and Continental Cup bronze medallist Levern Spencer leads a 13-member St Lucia team to the 19th Commonwealth Games to be held 3-14 October in Delhi India.
Levern, wih a best height of 1.98m this season, is easily the Commonwealth’s number one high jumper, but she has been working through a loss of form over the last few weeks. One other track and field athlete, Albert Reynolds, eclipsed his men’s Javelin Throw national record this year in finishing fourth at the CAC Games.
Two female swimmers, Olympian Danielle Beaubrun and Siona Huxley, will be travelling to Delhi. Boxers Miguel Auguste (welterweight), Dalton George (lightweight) and Thomas Melville (junior welterweight) will also be part of the St Lucia team.
