As recently as December 13, during National Day celebrations, Prime Minister King reflected on the contributions made by other countries.
“Our neighbours, our brothers and sisters in the Caribbean and throughout the world, have come to the assistance of saint Lucia by extending a helping hand by showing love and appreciation for the relationship that they share with us.”
He also spoke directly to representatives of French Guyana who were on hand at the celebrations, reminiscing on the deep historical relationship the French territory shares with Saint Lucia.
French Guyana donated over 300,000.00 Euros to Saint Lucia to assist in recovery efforts post Hurricane Tomas.
